Dr Anand Viswanathan

Locum Consultant in Spinal Injuries/Rehabilitation Medicine Honorary Senior Lecturer, University of Sheffield

Dr. Viswanathan, a specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine, currently works as a Locum Consultant at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, covering the Spinal Injuries Centre, Amputee & Prosthetics services, Major Trauma Rehabilitation, Movement Analysis Lab and the Sheffield Long Covid Hub.

He completed his specialist training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Christian Medical College Vellore, India. He then held a role in academic research at Cochrane South Asia and completed a fellowship in Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation from Sheffield. He is committed to expanding the evidence base for routine clinical practice of rehabilitation medicine to improve outcomes that matter to patients.
